3-Bedroom Section 8 Project-Based Voucher Waiting List

The Hopewell Redevelopment and Housing Authority (HRHA) waiting list for 3-Bedroom Section 8 Project-Based Voucher apartments is currently closed. Applications are being accepted from January 6, 2020 at 10:00 am ET, until March 5, 2020. There is no notice of when this waiting list will reopen

To apply during the opening period, applicants were required to complete the online application

The maximum income limits for each household size were as follows:

• 1 Person $25,900
• 2 Persons $29,600
• 3 Persons $33,300
• 4 Persons $36,950
• 5 Persons $39,950
• 6 Persons $42,900
• 7 Persons $45,850

This waiting list had the following preferences:

• Residency Preference – Families that live and /or work in Hopewell

• Working Families – Head of household or spouse or sole member is aged 62 or older or is a person with disabilities (Notice PIH 2011-33) or where the head of the household is the primary caregiver for a disabled household member. Minimum works hours 15 per week for non-elderly and non-disabled

• Veterans – Persons who were honorably discharged or under other than dishonorable conditions

• Olmstead Preference – Applicant families with disabilities who reside in institutions who are ready to leave the institution for community based living

Selected applicants were placed on the waiting list by date and time the application was received, weighed by order of preferences
