Liberty County, Texas Limited Housing Choice Voucher Waiting List

The Liberty County Housing Authority (LCHA) Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher waiting list is currently closed. Applications were last accepted from January 1, 2021 until further notice.

There were two ways to apply during the opening period:

1. Print the online paper application.
2. Pick up the application from the LCHA office.

Once the application has been completed, it must be dropped off at the LCHA office.

The maximum income limits for each household size were listed on the application.

This waiting list had the following preferences: 

• EDH- Elderly, Disabled, and/or Handicap. Must have copy of award letter from Social Security or SSI
• Veteran – A person who has served in the armed forces. Must have a copy of their DD –214 Form
• Employed Family and/or a Family member –At least 1 adult family member with verifiable, taxable income will need to provide Last 2 paycheck stubs
• Underemployed Family member will need to provide verification by the following means: Verification from Texas Workforce, Child Support – CIN and Password needs tobe provided, Unemployment Benefits, Workman’s Comp

It was not known how applicants will be placed on the waiting list.
