Mainstream Housing Choice Voucher Waiting List

The Dallas Housing Authority (DHA) Mainstream Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher waiting list is currently open. Applications are being accepted from January 21, 2020 at 9:00 am CT, until further notice.

Please note: According to the DHA, "The Mainstream Housing Voucher Program is for non-elderly persons who have a disability and are between the age of 18 and 62, who are homeless or at-risk of homelessness or institutionalization."

The maximum income limits for each household size are as follows:

• 1 Person $30,200 | 4 Persons $43,100
• 2 Persons $34,500 | 5 Persons $46,550
• 3 Persons $38,800 | 6 Persons $50,000

This waiting list has the following preferences:

• Individuals referred by a DHA-approved support service provider agency who commits to provide ongoing supportive services to the applicant when selected.

It is not known how applicants will be placed on the waiting list.
