Eligibility
The Bucks County Housing Authority (BCHA) Mainstream (Non-Elderly Disabled) Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher waiting list is currently open, from April 24, 2019 at 9:00 am ET, until further notice.
Please note: According to the BCHA, this waiting list is, "solely for non-elderly (under age 62) disabled individuals who qualify for HUD’s Mainstream Voucher Program, as follows:
- Literally Homeless – living in places not meant for human habitation: on the street/in car, abandoned building, parks; emergency shelter or
- Transitioning out of an institution or other congregate setting or
- Living in housing that is funded by a public/private agency and the funding assistance is time-limited."
There are two ways to apply during the opening period:
- Pick up an application at the BCHA Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher office, located at 240 Levittown Parkway, Levittown, Pennsylvania 19054; from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm, and 2:00 pm to 3:30 pm, Monday through Friday.
- Call ( 215) 945-6110 to request an application by mail, from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm, and 2:00 pm to 3:30 pm.
Once the application has been completed, it must be either:
- Mailed to the BCHA Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher office located at the address above.
- Dropped off at the BCHA Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher office the address and hours above.
There are no preferences.
Selected applicants will be placed on the waiting list by date and time the application is received, by order of preferences.
