Eligibility

The Housing Works Section 8 Project-Based Voucher waiting list for 3-Bedroom apartments at Ponderosa Heights Apartments is closed

Housing Works last accepted applications for this waiting list from January 23, 2023, until January 26, 2023. There is no notice when this waiting list will reopen

There were four ways to apply during the opening period:

  1. Print the application that was available online

  2. Complete an application in person at Housing Works office

  3. Fax a letter to Housing Works to request an application

  4. Email Housing Works for an application

Once the paper application was completed, it was either:

  • Dropped off in person at the Housing Works office

  • Faxed to Housing Works

  • Emailed to Housing Works

The maximum income limits for each household size were as followed:

  • 1 Person $31,500 | 5 Persons $48,550
  • 2 Persons $36,000 | 6 Persons $52,150
  • 3 Persons $40,500 | 7 Persons $55,750
  • 4 Persons $44,950 | 8 Persons $59,350

This waiting list had the following preferences:

  • Local residency
    • Applicants that reside in Crook, Deschutes or Jefferson Counties or whose household includes a family member who works, or has been notified that they are hired to work, in Crook, Deschutes or Jefferson Counties
  • Single applicants who are elderly or disabled will be given a selection priority over all “other single” applicants
    • “Other singles” denotes a one-person household in which the individual member is not elderly or disabled

    • Such applicants will be placed on the waiting list in accordance with any other preferences to which they are entitled, but they cannot be selected for assistance before any one-person elderly or disabled family

  • Priority will be given to applicants who are clients of the Department of Human Services through Child Welfare or Self -Sufficiency

Selected applicants were placed on the waiting list by random lottery, weighed by order of preferences
