Eligibility
The Utica Municipal Housing Authority (UMHA) waiting list for apartments at Roosevelt Residences is currently closed. It was last open in August, 2018. There is no notice of when this waiting list will reopen.
The Roosevelt Residences offers 50 1, 2, 3, and 4-Bedroom units, including 8 apartments set aside for persons who are homeless and 7 apartments specifically adapted for persons with mobility or hearing/vision impairments. More information can be found here.
There were three ways to apply during the opening period:
- Download and print the online application.
- Complete the application at the UMHA offices.
- Pick up an application at the UMHA offices.
Once the paper application has been completed, it must have been:
- Mailed to the UMHA office.
- Dropped off at the UMHA office.
- Emailed to [email protected].
This waiting list had the following preferences: Homeless Veterans, The Homeless, Persons with Mobility or Hearing/Vision Disabilities.
Selected applicants were placed on the waiting list by random lottery, by order of preferences.
The lottery to choose applicants is open to the public and will be held on August 29, 2018 at 2:00 pm, ET at the Community Room of Chancellor Apartments, 417 Bleecker Street, Utica , New York, 13501.
