City of Kinston and Lenoir County, North CarolinaSection 8 Housing Choice Voucher Waiting List

The Kinston Housing Authority (KHA) will accept Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher waiting list applications from March 20, 2024 until April 5, 2024. This is the first time the waiting list has been open since it closed in April, 2023

To apply while the waitlist is open, applications can be picked up from one of the following locations in Kinston, NC:

• 116 East Peyton Avenue
• 608 North Queen Street
• 901 East Bright Street
• 800 East Washington Street
• 301 East Bright Street
• 311 South Davis Street
• 2114 Viking Drive
• 511 North Queen Street
• 214 West Washington Avenue
• 107 East Peyton Avenue

Once the application is completed, it must be postmarked and mailed no later than April 5, 2024 to the KHA, located at 608 N. Queen Street, P.O. Box 697, Kinston, NC 28502

Please note: Applicants are reminded that no applications will be accepted at any Kinston Housing Authority office, but will be accepted by the US Post Office mail only

Preferences have not yet been confirmed

Selected applicants will be placed on the waiting list by random lottery
