Parish of Terrebonne, Louisiana Section 8 HCV

The Terrebonne Parish Consolidated Government Section 8 Rental Assistance Program will accept waiting list applications from June 30, 2023 at 9:00 am, until 4:00 pm CT or until 500 applications have been received

To apply during the opening period, complete an application in person at the Houma Municipal Auditorium, located at 880 Verrett Street, Houma, Louisiana 70360

The maximum income limits for each household size are as follows:

• 1 Person $24,300 | 5 Persons $37,500
• 2 Persons $27,800 | 6 Persons $40,300
• 3 Persons $31,250 | 7 Person $43,050
• 4 Persons $34,700 | 8 Persons $45,850

This waiting list has the following preferences: 

• Working: Head, spouse, or sole member of household. Document with check stubs for the past three months

• Disabled: Head of household or any household member. Document with Social Security award letter or statement from physician

• Local Residency: Head of household. Document with current State of LA photo ID stating current physical address. A P.O. box is not sufficient for the local preference

• Honorably Discharged Veteran: Head of household. Document with discharge papers. 
• Displaced Public Housing Resident: Head of household. Families previously occupying public housing and were involuntarily displaced as a result of Hurricane Ida. Document with verification from pervious public housing agency or FEMA. 

500 selected applicants will be placed on the waiting list by date and time the application is received, by order of preferences
