Eligibility

The Housing Authority of Owensboro (HAO) is currently accepting Public Housing waiting list pre-applications for families and senior/disabled households.

The HAO offers three Public Housing communities with 555 units for families and senior/disabled households, ranging in size from studios to 4 bedrooms.

To apply, visit the HAO office to submit a pre-application in person, located at 2161 E 19th St., Owensboro, KY 42303, from 8:00 am until 11:00 am CT; and 1:00 pm until 4:00 pm, on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

Be sure to bring these documents with you when applying: Social Security Cards for all household members, and photo IDs for all adult household members. All adult household members must be present when applying for Public Housing.
