Eligibility

The Housing Authority of Floyd County (HAFC) is currently accepting Public Housing waiting list pre-applications for families and senior/disabled households.

The HAFC offers one Public Housing community with 171 units for families and senior/disabled households, ranging in size from 1 to 4 bedrooms.

To apply, visit the HAFC office to pick up a pre-application, located at 57 John M Stumbo Dr, Martin, KY 41649, from 8:30 am until 4:30 pm, Monday-Tuesday and Thursday-Friday, and on Wednesdays from 8:30 am until 12:00 pm.

Once the pre-application has been completed, it must be hand delivered to the address listed above, from 8:30 am until 4:30 pm, Monday-Tuesday and Thursday-Friday, and on Wednesdays from 8:30 am until 12:00 pm.

Be sure to include these documents with the pre-application: Social Security Cards and birth certificates for all household members, photo IDs for all adult household members, if receiving TANF or food stamps bring in award letter, SSI or Social Security statement if applicable, bank statements, marriage papers if applicable, divorce decree if applicable, and proof of all income. All adult household members must be present when returning the pre-application.

The HAFC does not have a preference. 

Qualified applicants will be placed by the date and time the pre-application is received.
