Vermilion County, Illinois Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher Waiting List

The Vermilion Housing Authority (VHA) will accept Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher waiting list applications from January 30, 2024 at 11:00 am, until February 1, 2024 at 3:00 pm CT. This is the first time the waiting list will be open since September, 2023.

To apply while the waiting list is open, in person applications are accepted at the following locations:

• January 30, 2024: Hoopeston Multi Agency Service Center, located at 206 S. 1st Ave. Hoopeston, IL 60942 from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm.
• January 31, 2024: Vermilion County Health Department, located at 200 College St. Danville, IL 61832 from 11:00 am to 6:00 pm.
• February 1, 2024: Vermilion Housing Authority Richie Manor Office, located at 205 E. West St. Georgetown, IL 61846 from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm.

There are preferences, but they have not yet been confirmed.

It is not known how applicants will be placed on the waiting list.
