This waiting list is for Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher rental housing assistance in McHenry County, Illinois

The McHenry County Housing Authority (MCHA) will accept Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher waiting list applications from June 5, 2024 at 8:30 am, until June 12, 2024 at 5:00 pm CT. This is the first time the waiting list has been open since it closed in February, 2018

Income Qualification

The maximum income limits for each household size are as follows:

• 1 Person $39,250 | 5 Persons $60,550
• 2 Persons $44,850 | 6 Persons $65,050
• 3 Persons $50,450 | 7 Person $69,550
• 4 Persons $56,050 | 8 Person $74,000

Preferences

This waiting list has the following preferences: Live or work in McHenry County

Selection Process

5,000 selected applicants will be placed on the waiting list by random lottery, by order of preferences
