Muscatine County, Iowa Housing Choice Voucher Waiting List

The Muscatine Municipal Housing Agency (MMHA) Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher waiting list is currently open, from November 1, 2016 at 8:00 am CT, until further notice. It was last open from February 2015 until May 2015.

There are two ways to apply:

1. Download and print the application online here. Select the "printable application" link in the "About the Voucher" section.
2. Pick up an application at the MMHA office in Muscatine City Hall, located at 215 Sycamore St, Muscatine, IA 52761, from 8:00 am until 12:00 pm; and from 1:00 pm until 5:00 pm.
3. Once the application has been completed, it must be mailed or hand delivered to the address above.

Copies of the following documents are required of all household members: Birth certificate, Social Security Card.

This waiting list has the following preferences: Terminated from the HCV program due to insufficient funding; displaced due to government action, natural disaster, or uninhabitable property as a result of actions by the present occupants of the property; elderly; disabled; families with children who have legal domicile in Muscatine County; working or have been hired to work in Muscatine County. Further explanation of each preference can be found here.

Selected applicants will be placed on the waiting list by date and time the application is received, by order of preferences.
