Miami-Dade County, Florida Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher Waiting List

Miami-Dade Public Housing and Community Development (PHCD) is accepting Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher waiting list applications from February 5, 2024 at 12:00 am, until February 19, 2024 at 11:59 pm ET. This is the first time the waiting list has been open since it closed in May, 2021

To apply while the waiting list is open, complete the online application

The maximum income limits for each household size are as follows:

• 1 Person $36,150 | 5 Persons $55,750
• 2 Persons $41,300 | 6 Persons $59,900
• 3 Persons $46,450 | 7 Persons $64,000
• 4 Persons $51,600 | 8 Persons $68,150

This waiting has the following preferences:

• Terminated due to Insufficient Funding by PHCD
• Displacement due to Natural Disaster
• Displacement due to Government Action
• Homeless
• Veterans
• Mainstream Preference
• Miami-Dade County Residency Preference

5,000 applicants will be placed on the waiting list by random lottery, weighed by order of preferences
