Eligibility
The Glendale Housing Authority (GHA) waiting list for Public Housing apartments is currently closed. Applications were last accepted from July 12, 2021, until August 2, 2021. There is no notice of when this waiting list will reopen.
There were four ways to apply during the opening period:
- Complete the online application.
- Complete the online application at one of the Glendale Public Libraries.
- Pick up an application from the Glendale Housing Authority Administration building.
- Call GHA to request an application by mail or complete the application over the phone with a representative.
Once the application was completed, it must have been either:
- Postmarked by August 2, 2021 by 5:00 pm, and mailed to the Glendale Housing Authority.
- Drop off the application at the GHA.
- Emailed to the GHA.
- Faxed to the GHA.
This waiting list had the following preferences:
- Living, Working, or Last Permanent Residence in Glendale
- Employed, Elderly (62 or older), Disabled, or Military (active duty or veteran)
- Currently Homeless or At Risk of Homelessness
- Domestic Violence Crime Victim (assault, dating violence, sexual assault, stalking, etc.)
- Displaced by Government Action or Disaster
350 applicants were placed on the waiting list by random lottery, weighed by order of preferences.
