Hendry County Social Services Financial Assistance

Can assist with; final utility bills up to $200, rental with eviction notice not to exceed $350 of one months rent, food - $25 every 2 persons up to $100, medical for prescriptions and indigent burial as referred from funeral home. Eligibility based on recent loss of income (within 3 mos.) medical emergency, emergency vehicle or home repair all verified and based on total household income. Assistance not to exceed $350 in a 12 month period. Eligibility:1. Proof of citizenship or legal alien ID2. Photo ID of applicant3. Proof of Hendry County residency at least 90 days, unless referred by the Sheriff's Dept., Abuse Shelter, Hendry-Glades Mental Health, or the Red Cross. 4. Proof of Income5. SS Card numbers of all family members6. Be within the 2006 Dept of Health and Human Services guidelines.
