Homeless Individuals or Homeless Families Housing Choice Voucher Waiting List

The Housing Authority of the City of Laredo (HACL) Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher waiting list for Homeless Individuals or Homeless Families is currently closed. Applications were last accepted for one day only on September 30, 2020. There is no notice of when this waiting list will reopen.

There were three ways to apply during the opening period: 

1. Print the paper application available online.
2. Pick up an application from the Laredo Housing Authority Section 8 Office.
3. In person applications were available at any of the following locations:
   • Laredo Housing Authority Section 8 Office
   • Bethany House of Laredo
   • Border Region Behavioral Health Center

This waiting list had the following preferences:

• Unsheltered Homeless
• Homeless Referral
• Moving Up or Transitional Housing
• Veteran
• Displacement
• Elderly Family, Disabled Family, and/or Domestic Violence

Selected applicants were placed on the waiting list by date and time the application is received, weighed by order of preferences.
