Eligibility
The Syracuse Housing Authority (SHA) waiting list for Public Housing apartments is currently open. Applications are being accepted since at least May, 2015, until further notice.
To apply during the opening period, print the application online here. Select the "Public Housing Application Cover" and "Public Housing Application" links.
Once the application has been completed, it must be returned to 516 Burt St., Syracuse, NY 13202.
This waiting list has the following preferences:
- Victims of Domestic Violence (certification, order of protection)
- Displacement due to lead-based paint risk,
- Displacement due to fire or other natural disaster through no fault of family (fire report)
- Displacement by the government due to your residence being condemned or other reason
