Erie County, New York Housing Choice Voucher Waiting List

The Buffalo Municipal Housing Authority (BMHA) Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher waiting list is currently closed. It was last open for five days in from April 2017; and before that in June 2014. There is no notice of when this waiting list will reopen.

To apply during the opening period, applicants were required to complete the online application.

This waiting list had the following preferences: Terminated from the HCV program due to insufficient program funding, persons eligible to participate in the Non-Elderly Disabled program.

4,000 applicants were placed on the waiting list by random lottery, by order of preferences.
