Miami-Dade County, Florida Housing Choice Voucher Waiting List

The Miami-Dade Public Housing and Community Development (PHCD) Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher waiting list is currently closed. Applications were last accepted from May 13, 2021 until May 27, 2021. There is no notice of when this waiting list will reopen.

There were two ways to apply during the opening period:

1. Complete the online application.
2. Pick up an application from any of the following regional public library locations:
   1. Main Library – Downtown Area
   2. North Dade Regional
   3. Westchester Regional
   4. South Dade Regional

The maximum income limits for each household size were as follows:

• 1 Person $31,650 | 5 Persons $48,850
• 2 Persons $36,200 | 6 Persons $52,450
• 3 Persons $40,700 | 7 Persons $56,050
• 4 Persons $45,200 | 8 Persons $59,700

There were preferences, and they were listed on the application.

3,000 applicants were placed on the waiting list by random lottery, weighed by order of preferences.
