Dunbar Village is a Public Housing Community that sits on approximately seventeen acres of land in the center of the Coleman Park Subdivision. There are currently 226 apartments within Dunbar Village with 9 more townhouse style apartment homes being added as part of a redevelopment project of the community. The West Palm Beach Housing Authority owns and operates Dunbar Village which was built in 1940 and was named for thepoet PaulLaurence Dunbar. The apartments buildings in the community are set up in a Army Barrack style configuration.
