The project is conveniently located near government offices, a pharmacy, and medical care facilities. There is a large community building on-site along with a playground for children.
The project was partly funded by the City of Visalias Redevelopment Low Mod (RDA) and HUD Home Community Development Organization funds (HOME-CHDO). Kaweah Management Company, a 501 (c) 3 Non Profit, and the Housing Authority of the County of Tulare collaborated in the development of this project.
This affordable housing program is for individuals and families with moderate incomes allowing below market rents for those who qualify. The program is not a subsidized housing program as each resident is responsible for their full amount of rent each month. Rental amounts are based on the pre-set income limits in the geographic area and not based on your individual household income. To be income eligible, your total household 'gross' income must be less than the pre-set income limit for the area.
